The Missouri Review’s 6th Annual Audio Contest

Winners and select runners up will be featured on our website and on our iTunes podcast. Select runners up also receive cash prizes. All entrants receive a one-year digital subscription to The Missouri Review. Categories include poetry, prose and audio documentary. Because it is hosted in the U.S., the submission fees are in USD (but “you decide your entry fee!”).

Kobzar Literary Award 2014

The Kobzar Literary $25,000 Biennial Award recognizes outstanding contributions to Canadian literary arts by authors who develop a Ukrainian Canadian theme with literary merit in one of several genres: literary non-fiction, fiction, poetry, young readers’ literature, plays, screenplays and musicals.

Sanofi Pasteur Medal for Excellence in Health Research Journalism

Canadians for Health Research (CHR) and Sanofi Pasteur are pleased to announce the Sanofi Pasteur Medal for Excellence in Health Research Journalism. The creation of this national award is intended to highlight the pivotal role that journalists play in raising public awareness of the importance of health research in Canada.

The Governor General’s Literary Awards

 The Governor General’s Literary Awards are given annually to the best English-language and the best French-language book in each of the seven categories of Fiction, Literary Non-fiction, Poetry, Drama, Children’s Literature (text), Children’s Literature (illustration) and Translation (from French to English).

Wyn Lit 24 Hour Short Story Writing Contest

Once every month, Canadian members of Wynterblue Publishing have the opportunity to enter the 24 hour short story competition free as part of their membership. City of Toronto Book Awards
Established by Toronto City Council in 1974, The Toronto Book Awards honour authors of books of literary or artistic merit that are evocative of Toronto. The annual awards offer $15,000 in prize money. Each finalist receives $1,000 and the winning author receives the remaining prize money.
